Windmills as wind force against
sea level and river level rising
The members of "WDE" live in WILNIS and MYDRECHT,
two villages next to each other, in the province UTRECHT in The NETHERLANDS.
Both villages are located below sea level and therefor it is important
to control the water level around us..
With electric energy we manage to pump the water by canals away to
the sea.
The most feared enemy nowadays is water and we have to do a lot to
control that water.
Since glass house gas like CO2 in the atmosphere is growing, the sea
level may rise and much more rain is going to fall. The pumps who evacuate
the water will sometimes operate beyond their limit.
The new army to deal with our water enemy is electric wind power machines
connected to water pumps to evacuate the water in times of heavy raining
mostly during stormy whether.
The task of our modern windmills is so important that we speak about
wind force, in the same way as the military speaks about air force, sea
force and land force.
The next pictures show a change in climate.
In our village Wilnis we had a dike break through, caused
by an extremely long dry period in 2003.
The next picture shows the dike break through in Wilnis.
